remember me (please, please, please)

Placed as a finalist in the GlobeDocs 2024 Emerging Filmmaker Contest Festival for the Boston Globe, this piece explored the powerful connections between the body, sound, and visual communication through an experimental performance piece presented as a video installation. Guided by Professor Kledia Spiro at Northeastern University, this project aimed to challenge the norms of traditional artistic expression and push the boundaries of what is expected from art in Boston.

Recognizing the lack of emotionally engaging and experimental work in the local arts scene, extensive research focused on connecting with artists constrained by a reluctance to explore provocative ideas. Through conversations and focus groups, a collective desire for more space to dive into complex emotions and tell richer stories was uncovered. "Remember Me (please, please, please)" emerged as a response—an experience designed to evoke strong emotions and encourage deeper engagement from viewers.

This piece was crafted to draw audiences into a trance-like state, allowing for open interpretation and personal reflection. The goal was not to provoke a specific emotional reaction, but rather to spark diverse conversations and connections among viewers, pushing them to break free from conventional boundaries and experience something profound.

With semi-funding from Northeastern, this vision was realized in a real-world installation, bridging digital media and physical space. "Remember Me (please, please, please)" reflects experience design capabilities and a commitment to challenging the Boston art scene, encouraging a deeper emotional connection and collective introspection.
